Don W. Arnold, Ph. D., Founder, Director, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances
Don Arnold has occupied technical and business positions at Eksigent since its founding in May 2000 and sits on the company's Board of Directors. He has played a major role in technology development, leading the Advanced Technologies Department and was instrumental in winning a prestigious Advanced Technologies Program grant in 2004.
Prior to co-founding Eksigent, Arnold was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories where he focused on the development of microscale chemical analysis systems. He has over 40 publications and patents and has made numerous presentations at national and international scientific conferences and universities.
Arnold received his B.A. in Chemistry from Cornell University and his Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.
Phillip H. Paul, Ph.D., Founder, Chief Technical Officer
Phillip Paul co-founded Eksigent in 2000. From 1990 through 2000 he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. Prior to that, he was on the research staff of the High Temperature Laboratory at Stanford University.
Paul received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 1982.
David W. Neyer, Ph.D., Founder, Vice President of Worldwide Sales Support and Service
David Neyer has been active in technology development and product commercialization at Eksigent since the company was founded in May 2000. He has been integral in the development of the Eksigent NanoLC products for nanoflow chromatography and proteomics applications.
Neyer brings a strong scientific background to the Eksigent team. As a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories, he worked on the development of microscale separation and detection systems. He has published numerous scientific studies, holds a number of patents, and has made presentations at national and international scientific conferences and universities.
Neyer received his B.S. in Chemistry from Penn State University and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Cornell University.
Remco van Soest, Vice President of HPLC Product Management
Remco van Soest has more than 20 years of experience with nano HPLC instrumentation and applications in life sciences. Prior to joining Eksigent, he was Technical Manager at Dionex Corporation, where he oversaw the post-acquisition integration of LC Packings USA group into the company's North American organization. Before that, Mr. van Soest served as Research Scientist at LC Packings in The Netherlands, where he developed nano HPLC proteomics applications.
van Soest holds an M.S. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit, in The Netherlands.
