Microfluidic Flow Control means no drift in retention time. Flow rates as low as 50 nL/min means maximum sensitivity.

NanoLC is used almost exclusively in proteomics for the identification of proteins by LC-MS. The reason for using NanoLC instead of micro-or conventional-LC for this application is the increased sensitivity that is obtained. An increase in sensitivity with a factor of 4,000 is typically observed comparing NanoLC/MS with conventional LC/MS.

Retention time reproducibility is critical when retention time is used as an additional constraint for the identification of proteins in biomarker discovery. The excellent retention time reproducibility of the Eksigent NanoLC systems generated by our Microfluidic Flow Control technology, along with the system’s ease-of-use, become invaluable for any NanoLC application in proteomics.

Systems are available for a variety of different NanoLC separations, from simple direct injection of the sample on the NanoLC column to a full on-line 2D LC/MS/MS experiment.
